By Train
Walk from Muttenz railway station via Hofackerstrasse (6 mins walk)
By Bus
Bus 46 (to Kleinhüngingen) or 47 (to Bottmingen) to the “Fachhochschule” stop, then walk (2 mins)
By Tram
Tram 14 from Basel and Pratteln, then walk (10 mins) via Zwinglistrasse and Kriegackerstrasse.

Wi-Fi and internet for guests
Guest portal
The guest portal allows guests and FHNW members to access the internet. Follow the video instructions or the steps below:
Connect to the guest network
The guest network is available wired and wirelessly:
- Connect your device to the FHNW network via cable and you will automatically be assigned the guest network.
- Connect to the network (SSID) «fhnw-public» via Wi-Fi and you will be connected to the guest network.
Landing page
If the browser doesn’t open automatically, launch a browser. You will be automatically redirected to the landing page. After successful authentication, access to the internet will be granted.
SMS account
- Enter your mobile number under “Internet SMS Login,” read and accept the terms of use, and click “Register.”
- You will receive the access code via SMS, which you can enter in the “Access code” field that now appears.
- Press «Sign in».
- You are now connected to the Internet.
An account will be created with your mobile number.
- The account is valid for 6 months and will be deactivated after this period. Users must create a new account after this period.
- Your device will be automatically linked to this account. Once you’ve successfully logged in, you won’t need to log in again.
- You can register a maximum of two devices to this account. If another device is registered to this account, the first registered device will be removed and internet access will be blocked.
You can end your active connection and delete the registration for your device (link only works in the guest network) .

Electricity/Adapter
Switzerland uses type C (2-pin) and Type J (3-pin) plugs. You may need a travel adapter for sockets to charge your device.
Mobile data
Please check your mobile tariff and make sure you have mobile data available for Switzerland.
